In Dr Vergassola’s laboratory, I have setup a machining framework that takes advantage of micro-milling tools to rapidly prototype and produce microfluidic chips on scales ranging from 50 − 5000μm. Also, since at UCSD, I have been working closely with Prof. Groisman to generate temporal and spatial fluctuations in bacterial environment on physiologi- cally relevant scales (∼ 50μm and ∼ 20s). I am an experimentalist and my fields of research are microbiology, biological signalling pathways and microfluidics.
